Say Hello To The Sun With Neutrogena

Summer is here in full blast so its the perfect time to bring out those daisy dukes, sundresses, bikinis and hit the pool. Unfortunately, summertime also comes with complimentary heat and sun tan. I lead a vampire lifestyle to avoid the sun but we all have those days when we need to get out in the day and the only way to protect your skin is to slather on the sunscreen and add it to your daily routine.

I've been using two great sun protection products by Neutrogena for the past few weeks and am sharing my review with you.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50

If you're looking for an inexpensive sunscreen that beats most of high-end sunscreens, you've found a winner in Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock with Helioplex. Every sunscreen I've used in my life has left me complaining about its smell and/or texture till I found this baby. This award winning sunblock is infused with Helioplex, a formulation of broad-spectrum ultraviolet (UVA and UVB) skin protection containing avobenzone and oxybenzone made by Neutrogena. It has a pleasant smell, absorbs quickly and gives my skin a soft and powdery finish.  It doesn't leave a white layer on skin unlike many other high protection sunscreens, and absorbs quickly without leaving the skin oily. Its waterproof too, so it won't melt with heat and sweat. Neutrogena's Dry Touch technology, provides an ultra-light, non-shiny finish and leaves skin soft and smooth. Just like the name says it feels ultra sheer on skin and provides perfect protection along with a perfect complexion!

It comes in a tube with a screw up cap, the product is easy to dispense. The consistency of the sunscreen is of very light cream. The best part is that this product is available almost in every supermarket and drugstore. I was just wearing this out in the sun yesterday and absolutely love it and would recommend it to all my readers.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Moisture

Another product I've been using on days when my skin feels dry is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Waterlight Lotion SPF50 PA+++, an ultra-lightweight protection lotion against UV for healthy, beautifully radiant skin. This lotion is armed with Helioplex™ too, so it effectively blocks out harmful UVA/UVB rays and helps neutralize free radical damage. What makes it different from the sunblock is that this one is a moisturizer too! It doesn't leave skin dry if you skip moisturizer and is also great for use under makeup since it doesn't melt with heat and sweat. This product is also non greasy and lightweight and gets absorbed fast to give my skin a clean matte finish. It has a pleasant and mild fragrance.

After a day on the beach or outdoors, my skin often feels really dry and I need to slather on lotion or moisturizer but this product is perfect for those situations as it moisturizes, protects from UV rays, oil free, does not clog pores and act as makeup base. Skin is provided with superior protection against darkening and signs of premature aging.

The packaging is a white with golden bottle with a very thin nozzle which dispenses a little product. It has a mild and pleasant fragrance too. So if you have dry skin and are looking for a moisturizing sunscreen, this one's for you!

  8. Neutrogena used to be my staple everyday sunblock bec it didnt break me out and it was sheer enough but I was able to find a lighter/easy to use sunblock than this so I switched. Neutrogena is a really good brand though <3

  9. Lightweight? Yes, yes, and yes! I hate those sticky, greasy sun creams, body butters, lotions…anything. Well done for finding one to beat the sticky stigma. I'm very keen on the spray-on Nivea sun creams but this sounds like it could be totally up my street. Thanks for the review. Rosemary x
