Zoeva Eyeshadows + Milanoo Brushes

Although I don't wear a lot of makeup, I feel that eye shadow is essential for a glamorous evening look and had been wanting to get some for over a year but kept forgetting about it. I guess God was keeping a watch and my subconscious prayers were answered when the good folks at Luxola sent me a beautiful eye shadow palette which has loads of fabulous colors making it perfect for both day and night. Now that I had eye shadows, brushes were essential and I was lucky enough to find a wonderful set on Milanoo.

For those of you who don't know, Luxola is the #1 Online Beauty Destination in Southeast Asia and stocks an array of cosmetics by acclaimed brands worldwide.

The palette I got is by a German brand called Zoeva (which I had never heard of) but was delighted to read tons of rave reviews about it. This one's called Love is a Story and contains neutral and colorful shadows in a range of matte, iridescent and satin shades. The texture is silky and the colors have intense pigmentation. I've used it just once but absolutely loved the colors and staying power.

The Love is a Story palette is really sleek and lightweight which makes it very travel friendly too. Its rated the best out of other Zoeva palettes and is really reasonable for the quality and quantity. Another bonus is that a couple of shades from it are MAC dupes too! Its definitely worth buying! You can check out all the rave reviews online if you don't believe me!

Now, for great makeup, you need the right tools— and this arsenal of cute pink brushes is just perfect. These cute pink brushes are specifically designed for every part of the makeup process from eyes and cheeks to lips and brows.

What's in the box?
• Large fan-shaped powder brush • Small fan-shaped powder brush • Large powder brush • Powder & blush brush • Large beveled contour brush • Foundation brush • Highlight brush • Nose shadow brush • Concealer brush • Lip brush • Large eye shadow brush • 2 medium eye shadow brushes • Eye shadow brush • Medium beveled eye shadow brush • 2 small eye shadow brushes • Medium beveled eyebrow/eye shadow brush • Small beveled eyebrow/eye shadow brush • Beveled eyebrow/eyeliner brush • Sponge eye shadow brush • Eyebrow & eyelash comb • Eyelash brush • Fine eyeliner brush • Vegan leather case

With the amount of makeup I wear, its safe to say that these brushes are going to last me this lifetime!

This set is great quality all the brushes are really soft and have good quality bristles and the case is nice as well. Each brush is individually wrapped to ensure that they don't fray. Its also extremely cheap for the quality and quantity so you get great value for the price. Its definitely worth every penny!

You can get them here -

I love both products to bits and totally recommend you to get them too!

Keda KD-190R Epilator Review

I'm sure you'll agree with me that as fashionable beauty conscious women, hair removal is an essential part of our lifestyles. Shaving is a quick and easy way but only works for those who have fine hair and very less growth (like me) while waxing gives great long lasting results but one has to wait for a while for hair to grow to a waxable length. What's the solution? Epilating! I always wanted to buy an epilator but wasn't sure of getting one because the famous Braun Silk Epil series are quite pricey and I wasn't sure if epilating would work for me. Thankfully, this problem was sorted when I found the KD-190R Mini Epilator on Tmart. This product is inexpensive and is an all-in investment as compared to what you would spend at every waxing session at a salon. This cordless portable epilator has been designed specifically for underarms and arms. Its precision epilating head is tailored for a superior performance, providing you with perfect and long-lasting smoothness while its design ensures convenient handing. Hair is removed from the root and grows back thinner and less visible.

To be honest, I was initially quite freaked out with the whirring noise as the blades moved so it took me some time to gather the courage to use it. However, once I got over my fear, I realized that this epilator is awesome! Since it removes hair from the root, you can stay flawless for a long time and also prevents ingrown hairs. This efficiency in terms of slower growth rate cannot be matched by waxing and shaving, and this is why I realized that with epilators, truly, less is more. Its slightly painful since it doesnt work on a single stroke like waxing but I have a high pain threshold so I was quite okay.
So in conclusion, I can confidently say that epilators provide a great hair removal experience over other methods, and every woman in the world should at least try epilating at least once so they can experience it! You can buy the Keda KD-190 Mini Epilator on Tmart. Besides these, Tmart also sells cool gadgets, consumer electronics, accessories for phones, games and computer along with holiday gifts and much more at low prices along with worldwide free shipping.

What method of hair removal do you use? Let me know in your comments below!

The Taste Of Kashmir At Salsa

Wazwan is a multi-course meal in Muslim Kashmiri cuisine, the preparation of which is considered an art and a point of pride in Kashmiri Muslim culture. In Kashmiri language 'Waz' means a 'Cook' and 'Wan' means 'Shop'. Thanks to the Kashmir food festival at Salsa, the multi cuisine restaurant in the Corinthian's Resort & Boutique hotel, I got to enjoy Wazwan for the first time in my life.

For my international readers, Kashmir is the northernmost state of India, which is known for its scenic beauty, lake and mountains.

Gosht Ki Pasali (L) and Pardawala Murgh(R)
I started my meal with a bunch of delectable appetizers. In non vegetarian fare, there was Gosht Ki Pasali, a delicious dish which consisted of Mutton chops cooked in a slightly sweet and spicy sauce. This was accompanied by Pardawala Murgh, a mildly flavored tender chicken kebab. In vegetarian fare, I tried the Mewadar Chaman which had tender cubes of cottage cheese with a mild aromatic masala and the Sochal Nadir which was fried lotus stem! I ate lotus stem for the first time in my life! I didn't even know we could eat it!

Mewadar Chaman
Moving on to main course, in vegetarian, I had the Dal-e-chaman - a mild lentil soup, Wozij Chaman which again had cubes of cottage cheese but in a tangy gravy and the Meethi Mutter which consisted of fenugreek leaves and peas in a creamy, smooth and delicious gravy. In non vegetarian fare, there was the classic Rogan Josh, probably the most famous of all Kashmiri dishes which a hot and spicy curry along with another delicacy called Gushtaba which has minced lamb meatballs that are cooked in a flavorful yogurt gravy.

Clockwise from bottom left : Rice, Wozij Chaman, Gushtaba, Murgh Rogan Josh, Dal-e-Chaman and Methi Mutter
Salsa - The Corinthians Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - ZomatoThis was the first time I had Kashmiri food in my life and absolutely loved it! If you want a taste of this, head to Salsa at the Corinthians Resort Pune asap. The Taste Of Kashmir Food Festival is on till the 1st of Feb for dinner.

Outfit - Boho Vibe

I've always gravitated towards boho fashion and absolutely adore maxi dresses. Combine that with cutouts and I'm sold. When I saw this dress on Rosegal, I just knew I had to have it. Unfortunately the image on their site is completely misleading as the dress displayed on it is a light blue flowy chiffon while what I got is the same design but in a thick fabric in mint so I was fairly disappointed. I guess we've all faced such situations when the product doesn't turn out to be the same as the photo on the site. But I think its okay as long as its wearable and you haven't spent a bomb on it. Getting back to the dress, in spite of my disappointment, I got a lot of compliments for it though I kept joking that it looks like a hospital gown made for a Bollywood film.

Once again, these pictures were shot by my friend Akhil who's done a fabulous job as you can see in the edited ones. How do you like this look?

My Favorite Multi Cuisine Restaurants In Pune

Besides my love for fashion, I am also a huge foodie and dine out on a very regular basis. The city of Pune (where I live) has a cosmopolitan and diverse population consisting of localites, a large student population from all around of the world, working professionals from all across India and lots of expats with a significant number of German, Korean and Japanese professionals. Thanks to this, the city has a large variety of cuisines to offer. So here is a post that lists my favorite multi cuisine restaurants in Pune!

One of the most celebrated dining destinations in the city, Malaka Spice offers an array of delicious South East Asian cuisine bursting with innovation and creativity. Many of the fresh and unusual menu options are unique fusion dishes and traditional dishes that have been modernized by Chef Cheeru. More intricate Asian-fusion dishes from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Burma are served in the expansive dining room and al fresco areas. I have been going here on a regular basis for almost a decade and it remains my favorite restaurant in the city.

Stone Water Grill offers an exquisite dining experience with luscious dishes and great service in the one of the most ambient settings in the city. A meal here is not conventional, but a masterpiece of flavor, design and an elaborate preparation. Chef Shailendra Kekade has designed a very innovative menu that consists of fusion European dishes with contrasting textures and flavors. For connoisseurs of great food, Stone Water Grill is the undisputed winner for fine dining in Pune.

The moment you enter Habibi, you get a feel of the Middle East. Whether you're out on a romantic dinner or hanging out with friends or with your family, this place enthralls you with its delicious food, drinks and an amazing atmosphere charged with signature Arabic music. The menu offers both Arabic and Indian cuisine, both of which do not fail to impress. The large, open interiors steal the show, especially in the evenings when the place comes alive with vibrant Middle Eastern music and lights. Just been here a couple of times but there's something about this place which makes me add it to the list.

Chef Dario Dezio definitely knows how to whip up a lavish spread fit for any connoisseur of good food. As the menu says, the food at Darios is cooked with love and that definitely reflects in its taste. In spite of being vegetarian, the food is heavenly (and this is coming from a hardcore carnivore). Moving on to the ambience, the outdoor seating area is pleasant and inviting all throughout the day and is quite romantic for dinner. The place is frequented by members of the Osho commune, expats, kitty party aunties and youngsters and families, proving that its fit for just about anyone to relax and enjoy great Italian food. If you love Italian food, you just have to go to Darios.

Offering an elegant decor and a menu that leaves you spoilt for choice with a large number of French Continental dishes, Arthur's Theme offers a wonderful culinary experience. Their staff is extremely courteous and has good knowledge about the menu as the dishes have very unconventional names based on famous kings and queens. The food is delicious and the presentation is very nice too.

So these were my favorite restaurants in Pune. Are you a foodie too? What kind of cuisine do you like the most?

Outfit - Well Plaid

Trying my best to stick to my resolution so here is another outfit post. Plain and tartan are synonymous with winter so here's a look featuring the iconic pattern. The asymmetric Zara skort was a rage among fashion bloggers last year but I somehow didn't end up buying one. However, when I saw this plaid version on Romwe, I just had to get it. I kept the look simple and teamed it with a sheer black shirt from Banggood. I actually wear this look with black tights but it wasn't cold enough to wear them at the time when I was shooting.

Schwarzkopf Moisture Kick Beauty Balm Review

Winter brings amazing weather and lets us bring out all our stylish jackets but unfortunately also brings dryness with it. We've all been using beauty balms on our faces for a while now (that's the full form for the popular BB cream) but Schwarzkopf here has created one for hair! This is a new product from Schwarzkopf’s latest BC Bonacure Hairtherapy range. The combination of winter and chemically straightened colored hair has been making my hair feel like straw at times and Schwarzkopf's Moisture Kick Beauty Balm came to the rescue right in time.  I've used the Moisture Kick Spray Conditioner from the same line in the past, and that too is a wonderful product.

When hair lacks moisture, it lacks shine, elasticity and bounce, it’s harder to manage and can become brittle. Thirsty hair needs treatment fast, feeding it with essential moisture to give elasticity
and a longer lasting healthy looking shine. BC Moisture Kick – rebalances and delivers optimum levels to improve resilience, increase shine and eliminate static to give supple, shiny, moisturized hair full of elasticity and bounce.

BC Moisture Kick Beauty Balm is a moisturizing care and styling balm that you apply to damp hair while it hydrates it protects and beautifies your hair. Its lightweight and has added heat protection so you can use it before ironing or blow drying your hair.

• Combines moisturizing and styling action
• Improves manageability
• Controls the hair surface
• Protects from dehydration
• Adds healthy-looking shine

• Rub a small amount in the palms of the hands and work through damp hair
• Style as desired and leave in
• Re-apply a small amount to dry hair if needed
• Suitable for daily use

Serums can make your hair greasy and kinda icky but this product leaves hair silky dry and smooth because it doesn't contain silicone. As I mentioned before, I use a bunch of products on my hair so to maintain style and shine, and this gem is one of them. If you're looking for an alternative to serum for smooth and silky hair, give this a shot!

Outfit - Here Comes The Sun

Like I mentioned before, my resolution this year is to do more outfit posts and I'm going to stick to it so here goes. Even though I feel hot almost throughout the year, I love a bright sunny day. Its winter here in Pune right now, but the weather doesn't cool down till the sun doesn't go down so here's a summery look that's perfect for the daytime.

I love boho and festival style fashion so I got this crochet top and these layered shorts from Banggood, a site that stocks a huge range of products (both fashion and non fashion related) at unbelievable prices! I love their stock and have got some amazing bags from them in the past. You can see them on my older posts here. This crochet top is really cute with a fringe detail on the sleeves and hemline and it can be worn as a swimsuit cover up too. I don't like the idea of a bright color popping out from underneath the crochet detail so I kept the look simple by wearing a nude tank underneath. Finished the look with my beloved mirrored aviators and a nude colored bag.
