Asus Zenpad 8 - Geek Meets Chic

Last year was a serious roller coaster of ups and downs in my life but I guess I was a good girl because Santa got me this shiny new gadget so here is the review! I've been using the Asus Zenpad 8 (Z380KL) for over two weeks now and I absolutely love it. This high resolution 8 inch tablet has a premium design and boasts of high specifications. I took all these pictures indoors at night with a camera phone just to show you how vibrant the screen is.

To start with appearance, the ZenPad 8 is very thin and noticeably light (350g) with ergonomic rounded edges to provide a better grip, making it comfortable for usage and traveling. It has an attractive chrome trim around the front while the back has an elegant embossed leather pattern which makes it look luxurious and stylish. Thanks to its interchangeable back covers, it's perfect for the fashionable tech girl on the go because you can change its colors to match your outfit! Choices include Black, White and Aurora Metallic. It's also fashion blogger friendly because it easily fits into your bag thanks to its size.

The sharp and clear display is perfect to browse through websites
The display is absolutely amazing! I could tell because when I go through We Heart It on the tab and check out the same image on my phone (OnePlus One) it falls flat comparatively! Images are vibrant with rich details and vivid colors on the Zenpad 8. The device has a 76.5% view area with ASUS Tru2Life technology which delivers incredibly realistic images with accurate contrast, sharpness, and detail. It also adjusts brightness to fit different lighting conditions, providing a clearer and more vivid outdoor viewing experience in bright sunlight.

The Zenpad 8 has lots of beautiful themes to personalize your gadget
The device features two PixelMaster cameras. It has an 8 megapixel auto focus camera on the rear without flash and a 2 megapixel camera on the front. I haven't really taken many pictures with it but have noticed that it has zero shutter lag and manual mode support. The camera also has fun features like time lapse, low light mode, Slow motion, HDR, beautification and selfie panorama.

I can blog on the go thanks to the Asus Zenpad 8
The has a 4000 mAh non-removable battery. Backup is really impressive because even after playing games non stop for a couple of hours ( I normally play video games but have lately been hooked on to silly match 3 games on the tab) it just drops by a bit. You can expect about 7 to 11 hours of continuous moderate to heavy usage on a single charge.

As you can see, I clearly spend a lot of time playing silly match 3 games on the tab

Audio Cover
The Audio Cover makes multimedia viewing an awesome experience on the tab as it's built-in DTS technology. The Audio cover comes with built in speaker and battery and is flip type cover that acts as a case and converts the tab into a portable high quality entertainment device. With such sound, you can can enjoy my music, TV shows and movies anywhere. It has 6 hours of battery life and charges as you charge the tablet. The leather exterior of the cover give the tablet a sophisticated look and feel. The case also allows the pad to stand neatly in a landscape mode for watching movies. It can be bought separately and is totally worth investing because of its dual purpose of a speaker and protection.

Listening to Hotline Bling is even better thanks to the audio cover
The tablet comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which makes it one of the top-specification tablet in this range. The device comes with 4G network compatibility. It also includes standard features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4000mAh battery, 8 MP Primary camera + 2 MP Front camera and expandable storage up to 128GB.
