Hello March - Lakme Fashion Week

March is a month that has never been a particular favorite of mine. All my life, during school, my exams were always in March. I wasn't ever nervous or scared about exams but I knew it meant everyone would be studying except for me so I'd have nobody to hang out or chat on the phone with :)

This March, I am happy for a change because I am attending the Lakme Fashion Week which starts today, thanks to Be Beautiful. This is the 13th edition of the Lakme Fashion week, and will feature 83 designers featuring their Summer/Resort 2012 collections! Make sure to tune in to my blog all week as I will be covering most of the shows. I have also been featured as a guest blogger for Be Beautiful and would like to thank them for this wonderful opportunity!

The first show - Gen Next featured the collections of talented new designers who presented their summer/resort collections. The collections had a lot of creative, kitschy and even wacky clothes which showed Tibetan influences, Tailored silhouettes, stripes, box pleats and flowy designs that made a unique statement.
