LFW Day 2 : Bibhu Mohapatra

The last show on day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2012 was New York based designer Bibhu Mohapatra's graceful and glamorous collection. Originally from Orissa, Bibhu is currently one of the top names in fashion internationally. He was a design director for French fur biggie J Mendel and  has dressed Angelina Jolie, Sienna Miller and many other Hollywood personalities. His self titled brand was launched in 2008 and since then his evening wear has taken the world by storm. His sold at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and select specialty boutiques in North America, Europe, Russia and the Middle East. 

Bibhu's designs ranged from skirts, cropped jackets, wide leg trousers and lots of gorgeous gowns in colors ranging from soft pastels like pink, nude, blush and ivory to darker colors like emerald, navy, azure, flame, and black. Fabrics consisted of organza, chiffon, georgette, satin and lace. Most of the garments were extremely flattering with soft flows and stunning drapes.
