45 models walked down the ramp sporting themes like Gatsby, Warrior, New Mod, Preppy resort to dapper Schoolboy. Drawing inspiration from various sports, the Splash runway was opened with a singer followed by cheerleaders flown in especially from Germany, with a fun performance to ensure that the show had its right mix of fashion, style and entertainment.
The Splash Fashion League set was divided into two specially made sections, the ramp that resembled an oval shaped sports arena with tiered bleacher style seating for the runway show while the after party was held at the specially made Trophy Room that was replete with large size trophies and medals.
The show was opened by various models wearing the monochrome trend in graphic prints or stark contrast blocking. The women’s collection had prints and patterns dominating the looks with engineered, tribal, reptile and kaleidoscope prints.
For men, a sporty feel was incorporated by using outerwear like hooded coats, varsity jackets and parkas .
Representing the roaring 20s of America, ‘The Great Gatsby’ trend was used too.
For a mermaid look gone urban sports, the Splash runway presented looks that mixed sparkling sequins or metallic with luxe jersey or figure hugging wetsuit-like silhouettes.
Salman Khan, Bollywood superstar, walked the red carpet for the finale along with Raza Beig, CEO Splash and Nisha Jagtiani. Followed by the show was the after-party where DJ CharlChakka and DJ Kennedy played some wicked tunes into the wee hours of the night. Overall, it was a great show and a very fun party!

ReplyDeleteAnd I am in love with those monochromatic looks. Feels good to know that I don't need Marc Jacaobs to wear that checkered dress. Trickle down fashion is so much fun !! Is the collection in stores now? I so want to shop!!
