Neo Cosmo 3 Tone Brown Review |

As you may know by now, I'm addicted to colored lenses and love wearing a different color daily. This time I got Neo Cosmo 3 Tone Brown from Klenspop, a Korean online lens store which manufactures and sells a wide range of colored and circle lenses. I love the fact that their shipping is super fast and that they have the cutest packaging ever. What's even better is that each pair comes with a case and plastic tweezers so that you can take them out easily from the glass vials.

My natural eye color is a very dark brown which is barely visible so I always prefer going lighter. Here's what I look like without lenses-

And now here's Neo Cosmo 3 Tone Brown. Its a beautiful shade of dark brown which is incredibly natural looking and is very flattering.

Here's how they look up close -

I get a lot of compliments for these and no one even realizes that they are colored lenses! Another factor which is amazing about these is that they are super comfortable and I wear them for over 9 hours at work in front of a computer and yet feel no discomfort. I totally recommend you to check out Klenspop for all types of colored and circle lenses as I've been getting lenses from them for a long time.

Kidswear For The Wedding Season!

Weddings are a wonderful occasion that call for celebrations and bring joy everyone around.  With beautiful people draped in majestic clothes, grand decor at the venue and camaraderie among guests, it's a well known fact that weddings are HUGE in India. I recently attended three weddings of three close friends of mine in the past three months and got a bunch of beautiful Indian outfits especially designed for these (some of which I'll be posting on the blog real soon!). Besides having a great time catching up with all my friends at the weddings and all of us being dressed up in gorgeous ethnic wear, I also couldn't help but notice how cute little boys and girls looked in their ethnic outfits for these weddings.

That's when I wondered how it must be a notoriously difficult task to find wedding garments for the children of the houses. And in today's ages, children’s clothing has come a long way and there is a lot of variety from many designer and high street labels like H&M and Zara. But when it comes to traditional Indian outfits, these brands obviously are of no use. With this curiously, I asked the mother of one very dapper looking little boy at my best friend's wedding last month, and was surprised to know that his outfit was actually bought online from a website called
Every fashionable mom would love to have her little one dressed up in a designer outfit for a family wedding and Kidology is the perfect place for her to do so. The site has adorable clothes for special occasions like weddings, birthdays and festivals, all designed by famous designers like Gauri & Nainika, Siddhartha Tytler, Gaurav Gupta, Maya Nocon and more. From traditional and exquisite ethnic wear to contemporary and elegant dresses and gowns, they have a wide range of clothing for girls and boys.

I checked out their site and fell in love with many of the outfits because they are so super cute. Kidology styles incorporate Indian, western and fusion designs along with contemporary designs in high quality fabrics and exquisite tailoring. I was also impressed to read they they pay special attention to fit and comfort with the use of non-abrasive fabrics and adjustable features. I think this is particularly necessary because as a kid, I used to refuse to wear prickly sweaters or anything too pokey and though I've not been a kid for two decades, I still have major issues about lots of fabrics.

Anyway getting back to the main topic, here are some tips for you to consider while choosing wedding wear for your little ones -

 Boys -
Look for the Sherwani sets with vests or simple kurta pajama sets that can be teamed up with vests in radiant hues. Items that have subtle detailing on the vests or jackets are trending at the moment. Dhoti-jackets are also an investment piece that can make your little boy look dashing! As for colors, go for golden, reds and blue!

Girls have an abundant of choices to choose from! You could pick a western gown for events like cocktail and reception. For occasions like the main wedding day, dress them up in something more traditional like anarkalis, embellished shararas or brocade lehengas. They have lots of cute bright pink pieces which is a fantastic color for Indian outfits.

When it comes to colors, children look the best in fun and bright hues so make sure you pick up something vibrant for your little one. Also, check out their Festival section which has super cute designs which are great for weddings too.  So if you're a mom or are friends with one, make sure to check out Kidology and pick designer wear for your little one. After all, as a parent, you are the sole stylist for your kids :).

Faces Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal Review

FACES Canada recently launched the Ultime Pro Intense Gel Kajal which has a highly pigmented creamy formula which glides on skin instantly and gives a wonderful color payoff. The product also comes with a smudger for blending and creating a smoky look which is what I think this product is perfect for. Thanks to its creamy formula and intense gel finish, the product needs one stroke application and lasts for a very long time.

Priced at Rs 549, this gel liner is quite affordable compared to other liners in the market and has a beautiful finish with a intensely pigmented matte black color. The formula is also does not irritate the eyes. It lasts for over 6 hours but unfortunately it smudges a lot so I do not recommend this product if you want to use it as an eyeliner. However, if you want to create a smokey eye look, this product will outlast your black eye shadow since its get formula lasts really long. Thus, this product is actually a great substitute for black eye shadow and is the perfect thing you need to create a smokey look.

Overall, I think this product should be marketed as an eye shadow since it's long lasting and is great for a smokey eye effect!

How To Take Care Of Stockings

Since winter is here, we can finally layer up and add elements like stockings or tights as you may call them depending on where in the world you are. I'll stick to stockings as that's what we call them here in India. I personally love them as they add a great statement and give even the simplest outfit a glamorous look. Check out of my favorite winter outfits here where I'm wearing an interesting pair. You can wear stockings anytime, anywhere depending on the color, texture, pattern and thickness and moreover they never go out of style. But then again, we also know that they are very delicate and once snagged or ripped, the most amazing pair is absolutely useless unless you want to wear it on Halloween as a part of your costume. So here are some tips for you to care of your stockings when washing them -

Place them in a pantyhose washing bag:

While washing stockings in a washing machine, keep them in a pantyhose washing bag to keep them from getting stretched, torn, tangled or caught while the machine is spinning.

Or wash them gently by hand:

Wash your stockings manually with your bare hands. To wash them, use mild detergents and avoid those that contain bleach. Hot or warm water will loosen up the material and cause stretching, so wash them in cold water to keep your stockings intact.

Trim your fingernails or keep them away:

While washing stockings, your fingernails must be trimmed. Ragged nails can beget a hole or a run in your stocking leaving it unwearable. Or if you ain’t got time to trim your nails, wear gloves to cover your nails and then go ahead to clean them.

Use an online laundry service:

Using online laundry service is the best option as it keeps you from going wacky while doing the laundry especially when it come to delicate things like stockings. Relying on online laundry can make it a lot more easier. Just hand over your stockings and other dirty clothes to them and let them do the job for you.

Always have a backup:

The last and the most important tip would be to always buy an extra matching pair of stockings so that just in case you're in a rush, you can wear a clean new pair and be ready to go.

MyFitFuel MFF Whey Protein 80 Review

MyFitFuel MFF Whey Protein 80 is a heavy duty protein powder by the brand My Fit Fuel. This powerful product is a fantastic supplement that aids in boosting your workouts and gives you strength along with increased endurance and muscle repair. Made of high quality imported and tested instantized whey protein concentrate, this multipurpose product can be consumed as a meal replacement or a protein supplement for weight loss or weight gain. Whey is one of the two major protein found in cow’s milk (whey protein accounts 20% percent of protein found in raw milk rest 80% is casein).

This product does not contain any fillers, thickeners or cheap amino acids and is very low in carbohydrates and fats which make it the perfect choice for lean muscle growth and muscle recovery. MFF Whey Protein 80™ contains high source of branched chain amino acids (BCAA’s) and Glutamic acid. These are linked to protein synthesis in our muscles and help targeted muscles by reducing the muscle breakdown, and encouraging muscle growth and repair. This also helps your body to recover quickly and build muscles more effectively.

This review is actually on behalf of my significant other because he underwent a grueling physical fitness course for a month and consumed MyFitFuel MFF Whey Protein 80 on a daily basis and saw fantastic results. In spite of intense workouts for long periods of time and very little rest, he felt energized and faced no muscle pain or fatigue. This product aided him greatly during the workouts and he found it very helpful for muscle recovery too.

Taste & Texture
He tried the German Chocolate flavor which is absolutely chocolaty and delicious. The product mixes in water very easily with a smooth and consistent texture. You can have it with milk for a thicker texture.

 Ingredients :
Whey Protein Concentrate, Cocoa, Permitted Nature Identical Flavours and Sucralose

Nutritional Facts:
Serving Size - 32g(1 scoop)
Energy -120 kcals
Total Fat - 1.9g
Sodium - 60 mg
Carbohydrates - 4.5g
Protein - 23g

Cholesterol - 45 mg

Pour 200-250ml of water in a blender and add 1 scoop of MFF Whey Protein 80™. Shake it for 15-20 seconds and consume immediately. Use less liquid for a stronger and thicker shake.

This is a fantastic product which provides adequate protein and nutrition in your diet. Since every scoop of MFF Whey Protein 80 contains 80% protein by volume, it is helpful for athletes, bodybuilders and sports players to repair and grow their broken muscle tissues. The remaining 20% contains Lactose, a small amount of Fats and vitamins and minerals to replenish nutrients lost during physical activity. So this combination of proteins and other nutrients helps our muscles to recover better specially post workouts and I totally recommend it to my readers.

My Envy Box November 2016

You might have noticed that I always post My Envy Box reviews pretty late. The reason behind this is that I actually prefer using the products in the box and then writing a review rather than writing a post without being able to give you my verdict. So after two weeks of using some of these products, here's my review of the November Envy Box.

So the November box is called the Handmade edition as it contains all handmade products that are organic and chemical free. Another great part is that they are all full sized products! The downside? None of them are by well known prestige or premium brands. I've tried a few of the products let me tell you about those.

You can see the three winners in the box for me below. I love The Green Meadow Lip Butter which is an organic lip balm made of nourishing ingredients like beeswax, mango butter, coconut oil, almond oil and smells like a vanilla scented candle. It's free of artificial flavor, fragrance, preservatives, parabens and sugar. The texture is thick and waxy and a little bit goes a long way. This is a great product for winter and does a good job to keep lips moisturized. Its priced a bit steep at (Rs 400 for 14gm) but I like it because it does its job well.

Next up is is the Cane Sugar with Kokum butter Lip Scrub by Vert. This scrub is enriched with the goodness of beeswax, olive Oil, almond Oil, kokum butter, white sugar and cocoa powder which makes it almost good to eat. It's 100% vegetarian, natural and preservative free. It does a great job with exfoliating lips and heck, I even used it all over my face. Its a really nice product but again priced quite steep for the quantity (Rs 450 for 10gm)

Then there's the Neemli Naturals Shea Butter Body Polish, a body scrub that combines raw organic sugar, shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil with essential oils of rose, sandalwood, geranium and lemon which make it fabulous for skin. It smells amazing and leaves skin soft and exfoliated. But yet again, I think it's priced quite steep (Rs 900 for 50gm) And being a body product, you need quite a bit to cover all of yourself with this so it would be better if they jars in bigger sizes available.

What I haven't used yet is the Aerth Naturals Hair Protein Pack with Spiked Ginger Lily and Soybean. I've read reviews that it smells awful but does a good job. I haven't had the time to use it but will try it soon as I'm a sucker for hair products and am obsessed with my hair!

The other product I didn't try is the Fuschia Verve Face Mask - Kiwi & Asparagus. I'm not a big fan of face masks because I'm lazy and somehow feel that effects of masks are very temporary. However, that is my personal opinion and I've read really positive reviews about the product so it seems promising.

Overall, this month's box had a bunch of good products which are really good for skincare and the total price of these is way more than what the box costs so it is a great purchase. I've been a fan of My Envy Box for a long long time now and totally recommend you to subscribe to it!
