Freewill Personalized Shampoo

Generic shampoos are mass produced and if you check the label of any drugstore shampoo brand, the first ingredient pretty much always is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and/or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). These sulfates are cleaning agents which produce lather to help remove grime, oil, and dirt. However, sulfates are aggressive detergents that strip your hair of its natural moisture. If you have colored hair, they also wash out your hair color very fast.

Freewill was born with the philosophy that if each individual is unique, their product should also be created uniquely. The interesting part about Freewill is that you need to answer a bunch of questions about your hair profile, lifestyle and hair goals so you can specifically address your concerns. Try their online hair assessment here. In fact, you can even choose which color you want! No sulfates, parabens, phthalates or formaldehydes.

Your hair health depends on several factors like the weather, chemical treatments such as straightening or coloring, hair type, water hardness and more. Freewill products are made-to-order and they consider all the above factors while creating a product.

I am extremely particular about my hair and am always on the lookout for new hair care products.  I've tried a lot of prominent brands that had rave reviews, however, I was disappointing that they didn't work for me. Why is this? Because when it comes to hair, we all have different hair types and textures. Thus, not every product will suit everyone. Therefore, when I heard of Freewill personalized shampoo, I was instantly intrigued to try it out.

I have very fine hair and I color it every month since 2017 (thank you premature graying). I also have very wavy unruly hair and have been getting it chemically straightened since 2010 (that's a full decade of chemicals). When it comes to my hair color, I shuffle between shades of copper and red, both of which fade fast, thus I only use sulfate free shampoos so that my color lasts longer and my hair does not lose its natural shine and softness.

After answering our Freewill's questionnaire on their website, my personalized kit of shampoo, conditioner and serum arrived within a week. After the first wash, I instantly liked the shampoo as it lathers and cleanses nicely, and was even more impressed by the conditioner which is quite thick and creamy and is exactly what my dry and porous hair needs. However, the second wash is when I realize that Freewill products actually work as my hair felt much softer, smoother and manageable (which was pretty much what I wanted) thus, I am pretty impressed and happy with this brand and totally recommend it.

Please note that goals like dandruff reduction, anti-dryness can take about 6-8 washes for highly visible results. They use high quality natural actives (like fruit extracts, proteins, etc) which are milder compared to harsh synthetic actives and are excellent for your hair in long run.

Overall, Freewill has a great product range which I totally recommend to one and all as it worked very well for me.

Smart Shopping for Clothes Online

Searching through the best fashion retailer and fashion news and trend websites can help you find the best clothes for 2020, the perfect sizes and ways to keep costs down. Many brand websites are great and reliable places to find new fashionable clothing. ASOS is an example of a successful online retailer. Using ASOS Marketplace is a great way to discover edgy and retro second-hand clothes at a low cost. Plus, they also provide a 10% student discount. Another popular brand Misguided sells high-quality women’s fashion and is a leader in promoting new and in vogue clothing. For men’s fashion, Topman is a popular and trendy brand that offers a 20% student discount and a 15% discount on first online orders following an email sign-up.

I Saw It First and PrettyLittleThing are popular fashion retailers among students, providing low-cost, fashionable clothes. ASDA George is another online retailer worth looking into. BooHoo, Superdry, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Free People and Nordstrom are further examples of some of the best online retailers for discovering trendy fashion.

Another way to narrow down your search for in vogue clothing is to use fashion news and trend sites like InStyle, Glamour, Vogue, Elle, Style and Red. You might prefer to like or/and follow their social media pages for more convenient access to the latest fashion news and updates. These fashion sites or social media pages will help you keep attuned to what is in trend and what to expect for the coming fashion season.

You should also look into online-only clothes retailers. Many provide similar benefits to brand sites and you can find plenty of such sites with discounts and low-cost items.

For an optimal online shopping experience, you should try to find brands with a fast and either low-cost or free delivery service, a range of different sizes, discounts and a good returns policy, in case you need to send any clothes back. Online catalogue shopping can allow you to spread payments over set time periods. While these purchases will come with an interest rate, many online catalogues provide short-term interest free periods. Interest free catalogues for the first four weeks include Fashion World and That’s My Style.

Clothes resellers like Vinted, Depop, Rebelle and Shpock are examples of sites you can use to purchase second-hand clothes. You can also find second-hand or new but cheap clothing items at online shopping sites such as Amazon, Etsy, eBay and AliExpress. Another place to hunt for deals is Facebook Marketplace, which is essentially the social media version of Gumtree or Craiglist. These two sites are also worth exploring if you’re trying to find cheap clothes.

Lastly, you should keep an eye out for any discount and clearance sales being promoted online. One way to watch out for online store sales is to like and follow the social media pages of your favorite clothing brands. That way, if any online sales are about to start, you’ll be among the first to know.

Expert Tips On Looking Your Best For A Video Conference

Video conferencing technology like Zoom and others has become a huge part of our daily lives. We use it to communicate with our families, clients and coworkers. It has been increasingly important to make sure you are presenting yourself the best way even though you may be sitting, standing or talking in the comfort of your home. These tips will have you looking fashionable even though you have not left your house in days except to go to the grocery store or take a walk around the neighborhood. Before we get to the clothes, there are a few preliminary things to keep in mind before a Zoom call.

Have The Correct Lighting

Making sure you have ample lighting is the first thing to keep in mind as it could determine where you sit around the house, or wherever is your office for the day. Use as much natural light as possible. If you are home, open the blinds or shades. Be mindful not to sit so that the light falls behind you. The light needs to be facing your face whether it is right in front of you or you are no more than 45 degrees away from directly in front of it. Also, remember that your computer screen can provide light. If you are in a pinch and you find yourself in a place that lacks enough natural light, adjust your brightness.

Adjust The Camera Angle

Your camera angle is crucial. Make sure that it is head-on and at eye level. Any other way is unacceptable. Putting your computer on the table, your camera will be much lower than your face and it is going to be unflattering for others in the video conference to look at. You do not have to waste money on getting ergonomic furniture, at least not immediately. For now, you can use some books, a stool or a table that sits higher. It is important that the camera is at the same level as your eyes. People should not feel like they are either looking up at you or down at you.

See What Your Video Feed Looks Like Ahead Of Time

Doing a quick test before your video conference ensures that you show up punctual, kept together and ready to go. You do not want to adjust your surroundings, screen brightness, camera angles, hair or makeup in front of everyone. The many video conferencing apps we use like Zoom, WebEx and Bluejeans typically have an option you can pick that will give you a preview of your video feed before hopping on the call.

For all the other video conferencing apps, you can open the webcam program on your computer to quickly see how you look and are presenting yourself before the video call. This allows you to make any last-minute changes without feeling rushed or embarrassed. Once you get inside the video conference, it is best to hide your video preview of yourself so you are not constantly checking out your virtual reflection, picking at your hair or moving your camera angles during the call. Just remember that you are on camera and everyone can see you, so refrain from doing something embarrassing.

Go Somewhere Quiet

You may not have as much control over your audio but you can make it sound as best as possible by going somewhere quiet with little sound interruptions. It is also important that you use your best headphones. You get extra points if you have a microphone either standing alone or designed inside the headphones. Both of these options will give you better sound quality than the microphone on your computer.

Pick Out The Best Outfit

Now that we have the preliminary things taken care of, we can talk about what to look for when picking out the best outfit for your video conference. Make sure that your neckline is not too low, but still wide and low enough to have plenty of room between the chin and blouse. You do not want to look like your head is floating, so avoid things like buttoned-up collard shirts, turtlenecks, mock necks and bow neck blouses. It is best to have a blouse with a sleeve to reduce the focus from your body and more to your face.

You also do not want to wear something that is too fitted or too structured as well as too shiny and loud. The webcams on your computer are very sensitive and you do not want it to draw attention to the wrong things.

5 Tips For Dressing And Looking Classy

Many of us have always wanted to change up our style to a more classy or sophisticated look. Whether it’s to suit a maturing you, to match your new job, or to blend into new surroundings, updating your wardrobe to a classier collection isn’t easy.

Generally speaking, classy fashion is associated with hefty price tags. Chic city style or fancy ballroom attire can often spell dollar signs. Although your favorite fashionable celebrities might be dressed head to toe in expensive clothing, it doesn’t mean that price is the determining factor. There are plenty of ways to dress classy and chic on a budget.

Accessories and attention to detail are often the most important factors when completing a certain look. Creating a classy portrayal is no different. Simplicity, fit, and complementary wear are essential.

If you want to dress and look more classy on a regular basis, here are five great tips.

Chic handbag
Handbags can be extremely pricey. However, when going for a classy look, it’s important to have a bag that reflects this. Structured bags are timeless and elegant. Their shape and design give the impression that they are of good quality.

A chic, structured bag in neutral color tones is a great accompaniment to a classy outfit.

The fit
One of the most telling factors regarding classy clothing is the fit. You can have the most expensive clothes in the world, but if they don’t fit correctly, the overall style will be lost. Try to find clothes that fit you well and best compliment your body type.

If you’re having trouble finding the right fit, try having your clothes tailored. This is relatively inexpensive and will go a long way in completing your classy look.

Jackets and coats
There are no better quick fixes in creating an expensive and classy look than with quality coats. As a coverall, a coat is a timeless piece that can truly transform an outfit.

Another great benefit of investing in jackets and coats is that they’re highly practical. Not only are they providing a layer of warmth, but they are also elevating your style.

Whether it’s for work or simply for fashion, a coat is an essential addition to creating a classy outfit.

Lipstick
Red lipstick is a cheap but very effective way of looking classy. It’s bold, fierce, and screams confidence while remaining elegant and beautiful.

You’ll always have time to apply a little bit of lipstick, so this is a great tip to incorporate on a daily basis.

Keep things modest
A classy look is a relatively modest one. While it’s absolutely fine to show some skin, you’re best off to avoid revealing your mid-section, deep cleavage, and upper thighs.

This doesn’t mean that you have to wear a long dress and turtleneck every day. V-neck or chest-baring blouses can remain classy as long as your bra or too much cleavage isn’t on-show. Your skirt or dress length should remain just above or below the knee.

Chef June Is Here

You asked, I listened. Since I have been constantly bombarding my instagram stories with all the food I cook, it's about time you all try out Chef June's recipes and let me know how they turned out. I'm starting with the simplest ones. These are tried and tested by me and the results are oh-so-yum. Bon App├ętit!

Simple Spicy Chicken Fried Rice

This is an incredibly simple recipe which I invented when I was 19 when I had just learnt how to cook. Its spicy and yummy and is a blend of Indian and Italian flavors!

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

What you need: Cooked rice, Small strips of boneless chicken, Green chillies, Oregano (even better if you use the sachets we get with pizza), Chilly Flakes, Chopped Onions, Oil

What to do: Heat the oil and add lots of chopped onion and green chillies. Once they are brown, add chicken strips. After the chicken has cooked, add salt, oregano and chilly flakes. Soon after, add the rice. Add more salt, oregano and chilly flakes. Let it fry together for a few minutes. And you're done!

Super Simple Lasagna

I made lasagna for the first time of my life just one week before Christmas 2011 and it turned out yummy! This is definitely my favorite Italian dish and comfort food.

Prep time: 20+ minutes
Cooking time: 20+ minutes

What you need: Lasagna noodles, Pasta Sauce ( try using an imported brand as they usually taste better), Use Britannia Cheeza or if you want it fancy add Parmesan and Ricotta, Olive Oil, Chilly Flakes, Oregano, Salt, Garlic, minced chicken, lamb or beef

What to do: Boil the lasagna sheets till they get soft. This will take a good 20 minutes. Once they're cooked, drain the water and place them on a plate and lightly brush some olive oil between them so they don't stick to each other.

Cook the minced meat with spices, garlic and olive oil till its brown and dry. Add pasta sauce and keep on flame for five minutes. Coat the bottom of the baking dish with olive oil and add a layer of lasagna sheets. Top it with tomato sauce and mince meat, and with a mix of Parmesan and Ricotta. Put a layer of Mozzarella on top.  Keep adding layers as you desire. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Try these and don't forget to tag me @junebiswas and #ChefJune in your stories! Happy cooking and eating :)

Best Outfit Ideas For A Casino

A night at the casino is an ideal chance to spruce up and make some extraordinary memories! However, you should ensure you’ve dressed appropriately for a casino as many of them have dress codes. Recognizing what's in trend and finding the ideal outfit will make your night even better! If you intend to look glamorous like a movie character, you need to enter a casino looking your best. Before you hit a casino, you can try out online gambling and betting as it has its own thrill in it too. If you’re low key tempted, you might want to read how BetIndia reviews sportsbooks in India and find yourself in an ideal place to let your bets flow.

For the casino, men need an outfit that is professional, clean looking, without anything ratty or scruffy. It is better to avoid slippers and open sandals, hoodies, tank tops and ripped garments. When it comes to women, you can create the best outfit from something you already have lying in your closet. Choose your little black dress or one with gold or silver embellishments. If you need more glitz, go full glamorous in a gown. Include pantyhose and high heels to finish the look. Casinos are lavish, so keep that in mind.

Here’s a list of the outfits which are totally in favor of the casino vibe :

WOMEN -

A casino is where you need to dress in your best clothing. Whatever you decide to wear should fit you perfectly. Even if you aren’t at a casino in Las Vegas, you still can have a fair idea of what it's like over there. Here are some outfit ideas which are best for a casino:

Cocktail Dress  - A cocktail dress doesn't show lot of skin and isn't too formal either so it works well for a casino.

Gown - An evening gown is perfect for a luxury casino with a formal dress code. You can wear any color but black, golden and silver are advisable as they look beautiful at night.

Preppy Blouse and High Waist Pants - An upbeat or crop top with high waist pants can be matched with pants and high heels. Make sure you’re wearing complimenting colors while choosing your blouse and pants.

Off-shoulder Dress - An off-shoulder dress looks stylish and accentuates your collarbones. You can combine it with a eye catching necklace if you like.

Shoes - Ensure you wear shoes that are comfortable. Try not to wear new shoes because they stand a chance to give you bruises.

Accessories - Accessorize as much as you want, there’s no stopping there. Get hold of a brilliant neck piece, or dangling earrings, all should look fine!

MEN -

Formals are the best option for men in every case . So when are wearing formals, you are impeccably dressed for a casino. Here are a couple of casino outfit ideas for men:

Tux - Tuxedos are stylish simple too. You can wear a tuxedo and pair it with formal oxford shoes and an astounding watch.

Formal Shirt and Jeans/Trouser - You can enter a casino wearing a shirt and pants and still look dapper, as long as you choose the correct combination.

Semi-Formals - You can wear a shirt or a plain shirt with a round neckline and wear a coat or a jacket over it to give it semi-formal look.

Shoes – Only wear covered shoes, there is no choice here! Covered shoes look the best at casinos; of course, you haven’t come to visit a park that you’ll wear slippers!

Accessories – A good watch is a must on your wrist, to add on, you can also wear a dark colored tie.

These outfits will definitely help you look stylish at the casino. To both men and women wondering what to wear at a casino, go for trendy stuff and you’ll have the best night ever!

What to Wear At A Casino

If you haven't been a casino yet, odds are that your idea of what it looks like is confined to what you see in movies. Nowadays, you can get casino entertainment at https://www.10cric.com/casino/. However, when somebody calls you to meet at a casino, do you have any idea how to dress up for a casino party? Fortunately, this post will help you look stylish at the casino and enjoy your time there with a memorable experience.

1. DON'T FORGET THE DRESS CODE:

Before anything else, verify the casino's dress code. Some casinos have a formal dress code which requires men to wear ties while ladies can wear cocktail dresses. Even if you're at a beach side holiday destination, a casino there might you in wearing shorts and casual shoes. Thus, you need to follow dress codes to avoid the awkwardness of being turned away for a outfit that's too informal. Taking an opportunity at the poll table may be a risk that may often return, but not being able to get in because of your clothes can be quite disappointing.

2. DAY/NIGHT THINGS

Casino Dress Codes change with increasing informal because the day advances. For morning to mid-afternoon parties, a "properly casual" system is usually in place. Yet, one must not wear sleeveless clothes (for men), flip flops or beachwear. Between 2-7 pm, shorts, and smart sports-type shoes are appreciated. But, from 7 pm onwards, the dress code becomes more formal, transferring to a "smart and casual look".

A casino can also ban work dress – think if chef's wear whites, paint-splattered polos, and hi-vis jackets even as coaches and steel-toed shoes. What's more, using badly torn or distressed clothes, coats, tracksuits, or caps emphasizing offensive imagery or dictionary will usually cause your entry ban.

3. COMFORT BOOSTS CONFIDENCE

Whether you're playing real blackjack in Vegas or poker in Macao,  you need to be comfortable in what you're wearing as that gives you the ultimate confidence for the game. To feel positive by both your appearance and your form is an excellent way to defeat distractions and focus on your game.

Your confidence will help gamblers, observers, and mainly other players around understand that you mean business.

4. FUNCTIONAL FOOTWEAR

With coaches banned in most casinos, wearing proper footwear is essential for a stylish. For ladies,  heels are a great and attractive option when going to a casino. Pointed low pumps too are acceptable as they look formal and and there's no need to compromise on style. You do not want anything to disrupt your winning streak when you're in the zone. If you're heading on a weekend trip to the casino, I prefer to recommend you pack either a classic pair of trainers or loafers (or both!) as these styles will work well with tailored trousers and denim

Footwear should be as clean as possible. Dress shoes are an absolute must, apart from Vegas, where you'll see people wearing sneakers, flip-flops, or sandals in most casinos. Your shoes should match your outfit. Thus, the color, style, brand – everything should blend in together with your clothes.

5. HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH, OWN YOUR LOOK!

You may feel people staring at you and judging all the time - maybe they're not - just hold your head high and own it! People will always have their opinions about others clothes, makeup, hair, but your view is the one that matters. When your confidence radiates, other people are more likely to accept and appreciate your style.

Looking more fashionable isn't about wearing the most stylish, most fancy outfits, or understanding complicated styling tricks. Sometimes it's as simple as just dressing in the right color scheme or wearing the right shoes with the right outfit.
